Hi everyone!
We all just
had a week-long winter holiday here so we (Aada and Venla) are here to tell you
something about it. The Finnish winter
holiday is called talviloma or more traditionally hiihtoloma(=skiing holiday). It is placed in
March which is usually the most wintery time in Finland. There are many ways to
spend the holiday: some people like to just relax and some might travel abroad but
most people here (especially in the north) like to do some fun winter activities such as
downhill skiing, skating, skiing, sledding, ice fishing
etc.
We both spent our holiday in Lapland, Aada in Ruka and Venla in Levi.
Ruka and Levi are examples of the many ski resorts in Lapland. Lapland and its ski
resorts are very popular tourist attractions during the winter time. They are mainly made for downhill skiing but nowadays the resorts have plenty of
other activities and services to use too. Below you can see our footage from the
holiday.
